Dr Edward Santamaria
Edward graduated in 2012 completing his Bachelor of Applied Science and Masters of Osteopathy at RMIT Melbourne. He is originally from Mt. Martha on the Mornington Peninsula.
Edward has previously worked in sunny Port Macquarie where he refined his skills treating a wide array of complaints ranging from lower back and neck pain, headaches, sporting injuries, women during and post pregnancy, patients with arthritic and metabolic conditions.
He has post-graduate training in Biodynamic Osteopathy (phase 1), which is gentle treatment that helps patients suffering from chronic pain and a wide range of ailments. Edward also has post-graduate training in advanced dry needling.
His prior training working at the Athlete’s Foot and keen interest in triathlon has fueled his interest in the assessment and treatment of biomechanical running issues that lead to and maintain injury. Edward also has previous experience working with amateur AFL clubs in Melbourne in which he conducted hands on treatment over 4 years for sporting injuries, rehabilitation and sports taping.
Keeping fit and healthy is a passion of Edwards, having completed the Port Macquarie Ironman in 2014, multiple half Ironman and marathon races. He also represented Australia in the Chicago 2015 age group world championships in olympic distance triathlon.
