The point is to lengthen and strengthen simultaneously through a series of exercises – none better than this one!
- Step forward into a deep lunge position, with your front foot flat and front knee bent to 90 degrees.
- Straighten your back knee and squeeze through the respective glute to feel a deep hip flexor stretch.
- Lift your inside hand and rotate your spine towards the roof. Keep your hips and knees straight.
- Rotate back to the start. Repeat 10-15 times.
