Dr. Simmone Ortland
Simmone has completed a 5-year Bachelor of Clinical Science and Masters of Osteopathy being awarded with ‘Outstanding Final Year Osteopathic Student’ after the courses completion. Simmone has a keen interest in treating patients of all ages and presenting conditions, in particular babies and children, women’s health complaints; predominantly pregnancy related low back and pelvic pain, along with sporting injuries and headaches.
Simmone’s commitment to continuing professional development has included further courses in paediatrics and breastfeeding along with Osteopathy in the Cranial Field. In conjunction she has done further studies in dry needling and clinical pilates. These skills along with other manual therapy techniques form a large part of her treatment. Simmone always aims to treat the body as a whole and delivers a very holistic approach to osteopathic treatment.
Simmone believes every patient’s condition and lifestyle varies and she therefore treats each patient as an individual, adjusting her treatment plan according to their specific needs. Simmone is also a strong advocate in providing her patients with the skills to promote their own health and well-being through diet, ergonomic advice and rehabilitation exercises in addition to networking with other health professionals, in order to gain long-term relief from acute and chronic pain.
