Meet your SSG Animal Osteopath
Dr Justine Garnes M.Ost, PgC.AO – Osteopath and Animal Osteopath
Justine qualified as an osteopath at the British School of Osteopathy in London in 2010. After qualifying as a human osteopath, Justine expanded her skills at the Osteopathic Centre for Animals, UK in 2012 to treat dogs and horses. Since then, she has visited many farms and homes around the UK to treat the whole family, and their four-legged friends.
Justine’s love for dogs came at a very young age. Growing up on a farm, she always had her canine companion, ‘Mutley’, who did everything with her, from climbing trees to waiting for her on the school bus. She also loved grooming and looking after her (temperamental) recue pony, ‘Beauty’.
In 2016, Justine volunteered, alongside vets, to help treat injured dogs, donkeys and cattle at the Animal Aid in Rajasthan, India. And in 2018, Justine appeared in ‘OsteoLife’ magazine to help spread the good word about Animal Osteopathy in Australia.
Justine currently works as an Animal Osteopath alongside holistic vets at East West Vets, Bentleigh, where she can refer clients for X-rays, blood work and second opinions. Justine is very excited to begin working with animals at SSG.
